Archiving Policy

International Journal of Informatics Knowledge Pattern and Applications (IJIKPA) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. Our archiving policy is designed to safeguard the scholarly record and provide continuous access to the journal's content, even in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Digital Archiving

  1. Institutional Repositories: JIKPA deposits all published articles in recognized institutional repositories to ensure their long-term availability. These repositories provide robust digital preservation and access mechanisms.
  2. Third-Party Archiving Services: We collaborate with reputable third-party archiving services such as Portico and CLOCKSS. These services provide secure, long-term archiving solutions and ensure the availability of journal content through a distributed network of repositories.

Self-Archiving by Authors

  1. Preprint Version: Authors are permitted to deposit the preprint version of their manuscript (the version prior to peer review) in any institutional or subject repository, or on their personal websites. Preprints should include a statement acknowledging that the manuscript has been submitted to IJIKPA.
  2. Postprint Version: Authors may deposit the postprint version (the version accepted for publication after peer review) in institutional or subject repositories, provided that an embargo period of six months post-publication is observed. The deposited version should include a citation to the published article in IJIKPA.
  3. Published Version: Authors are encouraged to link to the published version of their article on the JIKPA website. Direct deposit of the publisher's PDF version is not permitted, except in institutional repositories as part of agreements between the institution and the publisher.

Publisher's Policy

  1. Website Preservation: IJIKPA ensures that its website, including all published articles, is regularly backed up and maintained to prevent data loss. The website is hosted on secure servers with regular updates and security checks.
  2. Metadata Preservation: We ensure the preservation of article metadata in standardized formats to facilitate discovery and access through various indexing and abstracting services.

Access and Usage Rights

  1. Open Access: All articles published in IJIKPA are available under an open-access license, allowing free and unrestricted access to the full text of all published content.
  2. Licensing: Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly credited.

In the Event of Journal Closure

In the unlikely event that IJIKPA ceases publication, all published content will remain accessible through the institutional repositories and third-party archiving services mentioned above. This ensures the ongoing availability and integrity of the scholarly record.
